Aeons Echo takes place in a world that is broken and time is in flux. The players explore multiple timelines, make crucial choices, and discover how their choices affect the present, past, and the future. The main storyline follows the mysterious character Kael, a time-traveler who finds themselves in a lost timeline without a clue as to the person they were. As Kael shifts between timelines, they uncover a myriad of secrets about a war which shattered the world and revealed their part in the war.

In contrast to other games that provide different endings, Aeons Echo makes the whole game a thrilling. Every decision creates a ripple, allowing new areas, changing the fate of characters as well as altering the game’s basic mechanics.

Gameplay and Characters

Kael plays the lead character in Aeons Echo. The mysterious Kael is a figure with memories that are sporadic. As the story progresses, Kael is granted access to time-warp powers and is also beginning to experience visions of different versions of them – some of them good, others corrupted.

Other characters that are important are:

• Lira is a historian from the old timeline. She believes that Kael is a myth, but is drawn to the story due to curiosity and hopes.
• Thorn: A soldier who has been forged by war from a dystopian future. He has a revenge against Kael’s former self, however he could be an ally, depending on the decisions you make.
• Nessa is a child that seems to be throughout all time. Her innocence hides a sinister truth about the suffocation of time.

Every character is a unique individual with multiple possibilities for outcomes as well as relationships and the possibility of hidden paths. There is no way for two people to have the same experience – each playthrough is unique.
